A keeper's reel is built around positioning before the shot, the first step, the distribution that starts the next attack, and how they organize the back line in front of them.
Before the save, not just the save.
Most keeper clips online are just the save itself. I film and cut for what leads up to it: where the keeper is standing before the shot, the angle they cut off, the step that gets them in position. That's what a coach actually watches for, and it's what makes a save look earned instead of lucky.
Distribution gets equal weight. A clean goal kick, a quick throw to start a counter, a pass under pressure out of the back: these are moments that show a keeper's game beyond shot-stopping, and I make sure they land in the edit, not just get trimmed out to save time.
Command of the box matters too: coming for crosses, organizing the back line with calls and positioning. These moments are quieter than a diving save, but they're the ones that show a keeper reads the game well.

What do you look for in a goalkeeper highlight video?

How long is a goalkeeper reel?
About 3 to 5 minutes works well, with the strongest saves and distribution first, plus a 30 to 60 second cut for social media.
What should I send for a goalkeeper highlight video?
Game footage along with the player's jersey number, position and team colors. I can also film games in person around Seattle.
Can a goalkeeper reel be used for recruiting?
Families do use these reels on recruiting profiles. I'm not a recruiting consultant, so ask your club coach or director about strategy, and I'll build the video to match what they ask for.
